A super capacitor could be strategically placed near large transformers, power plants, electrical stations, and grid relay stations, as a DEFENCE.
The capacitor would attract the lightning strikes away from the transformers, like a large “lightning rod,” ABSORBING the lightning strikes eliminating costly “Black Outs”
